Mendoza Chapel: Our Lady of the Rosary

“Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” (Luke 1)

As we reach the fourth and final Sunday of Advent, our journey through Advent is nearly at an end. Just as we have walked through these chapels, we have also walked through the Gospel, through the unfolding story of salvation. It is fitting that our journey brings us to Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary in the Mendoza College of Business.

The Rosary is a popular prayer practice for many Catholics. When we pray the rosary, we call to mind God’s great actions of salvation, and remember what God has done for us. The rosary reminds us of how God has acted in the past, helping us to see how God is working in our lives here and now.

Mary’s attentiveness to God’s promises recorded in the sacred words of Scripture helped her to see how God was working with her in the present.

As we pray here with Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary, let us ask: where do we see God speaking to us in the events of our lives today?

  1. John,
Thanks for your wonderful words. I am a long time ND season basketball ticket holder and big fan. I enjoy watching you and the team. May you have continued success on the court and off.
