Merry Christmas
Executive Director of the Notre Dame Alumni Association Dolly Duffy ’84 closes our journey through Advent and opens another to the Christmas Season.
It has truly been an honor to journey with 22 members of the Notre Dame family, from every walk of life, who graciously shared their most cherished memories with us. Our hearts were moved, witnessing the rich tapestry of each moment unfold, reminding us that God is always with us in every step we take. From our families to yours, all of us at the Notre Dame Alumni Association wish you a holiday filled with God’s blessings, and a very Merry Christmas.
“As we close this chapter on Advent and open another to the Christmas season, may we ponder — as Mary pondered — the miraculous event of Christ’s birth in our hearts. May we come to know the depth of God’s love, and recognize the divine purpose woven into the humble scene of the infant in the manger. It is that same divine purpose that is woven into our lives today and the lives of the people who shared their sacred stories with us.”

As others have said, this year’s series was truely uplifting and outstanding. My only regret is that we were “cheated” out of more stories by the calendar, the last week of Advent consisting of one day!

Dolly, you are a blessing to all of the ND alumni, family and friends. I was inspired by all of the sacred stories this year and I’m sure you will continue this wonderful tradition. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thank you ever so much. It has been such a blessing to wake up each morning, and before busyness interferes, listen and reflect on each unique Sacred Story. Each reminds us that God is with us always, in our joyful moments and especially in our times of heartache or tragedy. The world is a little brighter after witnessing these twenty-two sacred stories.
Heart rendering stories from the lives of the Notre Dame family helped us to draw closer to Out Lord and His Mother .
Thank you for the inspiration and effort of this divine project.
