We pray for each of you, that you may feel God’s love this Christmas and experience the peace and joy it brings this season. I spent the the first 2 hours of this Christmas morning watching in succession all 28 segments of this year’s edition of the Sacred Places of Notre Dame. It was a profoundly sacred experience that overwhelmed me with so many emotions. I asked for forgiveness for the times in my life when the distractions of the world became more important than what Our Lady was calling me to do. I was filled pride and with a deep sense of hope for the future when I listened to each student. I was overcome with gratitude to my parents for making it possible for me to receive a degree from Our Lady’s University 50 years ago next spring…a degree that opened so many doors for me!

Many thanks for another season of beautiful sacred places. I am not a ND alumni but have been reading the daily gospels and reflections for years. I hope I have the opportunity to visit your beautiful campus to see in person the many places I have admired in the sacred places videos.

Thank you so much for this inspirational series. Notre Dame will always be home to me as it is to all who went to school and became Alumni. The sacred places; so special along with the devotionals; Blessings Dolly.
I guess I’m a friend, as my daughter-in-law (then daughter-in-law-to-be) got her PhD at Notre Dame and my husband and I made several wonderful visits there, always staying at the Morris Inn. This series has been one of my favorite things this Advent, both the devotional aspect and getting to know the campus better — please do it again next year!
