Annie Wiese ’22

Through the challenges of life, Annie Wiese ’22 shares her journey of resilience, faith, and trust on the diving board.

Every morning and afternoon, it was just me and the diving board. While my body was spinning through the air, my eyes would catch glimpses of the world around me, but I had to trust I was falling towards the water in the right direction. That’s how my faith is, too, both then and now.

“Advent is a season filled with chaotic moments of preparation, good cheer, and sometimes sadness, too. It is a season that requires us to pivot and twist to the needs of the moment. It can be easy to lose sight of the real reason for this season — the ultimate goal of this complex dive — to make it to the water that is always there to catch us, and the God who is always there to hold us in love.”

    • Thanks for reminding me that it is o.k. to Only have Trust, as primarily the sole caregiver these past four years, Trust is something I can hold onto and maybe even embrace at times.
