Merry Christmas

Dolly Duffy ’84, Executive Director of the Notre Dame Alumni Association, invites you into her home for this Christmas greeting.

As we begin the celebration of Christmas, please know that you are always in our prayers and that Our Lady’s University will always be a place where you can find solace and share in the joy and peace of Christ. May this Christmas bring you and your loved ones a renewed faith in Christ, who is born to us today.

From all of us at the Notre Dame Alumni Association, we wish you a holiday filled with God’s blessings and a very Merry Christmas.

  1. Thank you for these beautiful stories. I looked forward to ending my night with them each day of Advent. Merry Christmas!

  2. I look forward to these Sacred Stories every year. They provide a wonderful opportunity for reflection at the end of each day. Thank you so much for helping me ony Advent journey.

  3. I look forward to this every day. The Bible passage and Reflections that bring me peace and joy and pondering. Thank you so much for brightening my day as I begin in the word. The stories shared are just lovely. Merry Christmas.

  4. Merry Christmas to all! These Sacred Stories have been so special and moving. Thanks to all of you who made them possible for us to enjoy. As Father Ted would add, “Come Holy Spirit!”

  5. Thank you for this beautiful collection of Sacred Stories. I have started every day of Advent with these reflections and I will miss this morning ritual. Each story touched my heart and gave me something to reflect on during the days of Advent. I look forward to next year! Merry Christmas!

  6. Thanks to all at the alumni association for the incredible faith stories shared during advent and renewed my faith and awareness of God’s Love poured out on me and all of creation in Jesus born for all of us, in all and with us always.

  7. I, too, have looked forward to reading these stories when I began each day during Advent. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas!

  8. I most sincerely thank everyone involved in this and all previous Advent Sacred Stories and programs. I remember the Sacred Places series very well.
My Soul is nourished and encouraged by Dolly’s comments: “We are never alone and we are loved more than we could ever imagine.” AND “Please know that you are always in our prayers.” Both of these comments are important to my Heart and Soul. May each of you be infused with graces today and always! Merry Christmas!

  9. What a blessing these sacred stories have been for me. I am very grateful for all that went into providing this enriching opportunity for us.
    Thank you so very much!

  10. Thank you to each and every person that made the sharing of this year’s sacred stories a possibility. I enjoyed each and every one because they remind me that God is writing the story of each and every person’s life. What an incredible God we serve! He loves us infinitely more than we could ever imagine. I hope the Notre Dame Alumni Association will continue to present the sacred stories series every Advent. They were a much anticipated and enjoyed part of my Advent experience.

  14. Dolly, this is REALLY a tremendous thing you and the Association do for all of us. It has become a daily part of both my, but also my entire family’s, daily routine during Advent. I can think of no finer way to ground us in the faith of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and His eternal love for us. Thank you so much, and God Bless. GO IRISH!

  15. Thanks for depth of sharing your stories. I was very inspired by them. Even though I didn’t attend Notre Dame I visited often because my brother was a Holy Cross Brother. Blessings to all.

  16. Dolly: The sacred stories of Notre Dame were so beautiful and poignant this year. They made my advent for me and I look forward to them and I never miss a one. I salute the Notre Dame alumni Association for this website and for all you do to help us enhance our spirituality. I wish you, your staff, your family and all my Notre Dame friends and alumni a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

  17. Thank you so much for the Advent sacred stories! I love the reflections from the wide variety of people who have a Notre Dame connection and who share a love of Our Lord. Well done!

  18. Thank you, Dolly, for all you do for Notre Dame Alumni. Have a Blessed and Holy Christmas with your family and friends. Perhaps I’ll meet you at 2023 Reunion. Couldn’t attend my 50th Reunion in 2022 due to serious illness. God cares for each of us, and restored my health.

  19. Thank you Dolly and everyone involved in this truly inspirational set of stories. I can’t tell you how much it meant to the advent season for me. I hope you can continue it and once again thank you all so much for enhancing advent in such a beautiful fashion

  20. I can’t begin to tell you how much comfort and joy these advent stories have brought me this December. Many days the stories brought me to tears and drew me deeper into prayer. Thank you and I only wish the videos could continue – maybe during Lent. A blessed Christmas to ND alum and students,

  21. Terrific work by Dolly Duffy and the Alumni Association team to again, touch our heart in so many ways this Advent. Inspired and appreciative of each person’s openness and vulnerability. God Bless all, love the Notre Dame and her university.
